We offer advice, coordination and supervision of new projects and improvements to existing facilities. Whether for systems with mechanical, natural or hybrid ventilation. The initial design choice must be appropriate, because any farm with natural ventilation can convert to mechanical ventilation, but not the other way around.

In addition to the quality of the materials used, it must provide an adequate level of thermal insulation, absence of significant thermal bridges and elevated building integrity, in order to ensure energy conservation and animal comfort.

A facility with natural ventilation has a complex design limited by external “environmental” conditions such as climate, site, solar orientation and wind exposure, windbreaks, etc. The driving forces behind air movement are not mechanical, but natural and attributed to differences in pressure (wind) and differences indensity (temperature). We must therefore manage them appropriately via an adequate functional design (volume and useful area, floor type, roof slope, façade shade, internal obstacles, etc.).The selectioninstallation and evaluation of the equipment (side opening, upper opening, control system,etc.must be geared to delivering animal comfort.

A facility with a hybrid ventilation system must have an appropriate design that enables us to combine natural and forced ventilation in an effective and efficient manner. Depending on the climatic conditions, barn design and type of animal housed, we will install hybrid systems without evaporative cooling (“air recirculation/mixing” and “cooling effect”) or systems with evaporative pads or foggers.
